Olga Stefanishyna

Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Ukraine

Olga Stefanishyna is the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine (appointed in June 2020), member of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

 

After leaving private legal practice in 2010, she has served on the various positions in the field of European and Euro-Atlantic integration at the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, and at the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. In 2017, Ms. Stefanishyna was appointed as a Director-General of the Government Office for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.

 

Ms. Stefanishyna holds a degree in International Law of the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Also, she studied Finances at the Odessa National University of Economics, and international relations in the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna.

 

Ms. Stefanishyna is one of the leading experts on Ukraine-EU relations who also took part in the negotiations of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement. Upon her appointment in the Government, she has defined among key priorities: intensifying Ukraine-NATO practical cooperation as well as developing a strategic vision of Ukraine’s integration to the Alliance.
